Everybody seems to know about Pokemon. Everyone that knows about Pokemon loves Pokemon!



The Pokémon Trading Card Game began in October 1996. Since then, it has become a phenomenon across the world. Here we have Pokemon Trading Card coloring pages free and downloadable.


As of March 2019, the Pokemon Trading Card Game has sold over 27.2 billion cards worldwide. That number is constantly rising. That's about four cards for every living person on earth.


There are different types of Pokemon cards, and each card depicts a Pokemon from the Pokemon video games.


Every Pokemon card has a name. Included on the card is the type of card that it is and how many Health Points it grants.


Some of the types of Pokemon cards are Basic Pokemon and Evolved Pokemon. There are other types of Pokemon cards, including Baby Pokemon cards and Mega Pokemon that have different features.


Pokemon Energy Cards power Pokemon attacks. There are two different classes of energy cards, Basic Energy and Special Energy, and those types have different categories.



There are dozens of different types of Pokemon sets. The most sets come in English or Japanese.


This is an official Pokemon league called  Play! Pokémon, formerly known as Pokémon Organized Play (POP).


The Pokemon video games include Pokémon TCG Online (PTCGO), originally released in April 2011.


Pokémon Trading Card Game, known as Pokémon Card GB in Japan, was released in Japan in December 1998 and released in North America and Europe about two years later.


POP tournaments take place every year in different locations. In 2017, the "2017 Worlds" were held in Anaheim, California. In 2018, the "2018 Worlds" were held in Nashville, Tennessee.


Early Pokemon sets include the 1998 Pokémon Demo Game Plastic Pack, the Base Set released in the United States in January 1999, Jungle (the first expansion set in the United States), Fossil, Base Set 2, and Team Rocket.


In October 2000, "Second Generation Sets" began. Neo Genesis was the first Second Generation Set.


Neo Discovery and Neo Destiny are two other Second Generation Sets.


Third Generation Pokemon sets began in July 2003. These Third Generation sets all have "EX in their names.


EX Ruby and Sapphire and EX Sandstorm are two Third Generation sets.


Fourth Generation sets began in May 2007 with Diamond and Pearl Base Set. The Fourth Generation sets all have the words "Diamond and Pearl", "Platinum", "HeartGold SoulSilver", or "Legends" in their names. This is because of related video games.


Fifth Generation sets began in April 2011. They all have "Black and White" in their names. Once again, this is because of related video games.


Sixth Generation sets began in February 2014. They all have "XY" in their names. So, the first Sixth Generation set was simply called XY.


Seventh Generation sets began in February 2017. These Seventh Generation sets all have "Sun & Moon" in their names.


The Seventh Generation is still in progress as of mid-2019.


Pokemon Trading Card Game sets remain wildly popular and show no signs of ending anytime soon!
